I have been working with Neil of RMC (Formerly known as the Retro Man Cave) as a researcher since December 2019. In that time, my key duties have been to reach out to well known figures of video game history and introduce them to Neil’s Retro Tea Breaks YouTube show. Once onboard, arrange the timings for the interviews and write the initial set of questions with help from the RMC community and it has been a great success.

In July 2020, Neil launched a Kickstarter for a book version covering many of his interviews, capturing gaming industry stories and preserving it for future generations so this information isn’t simply lost to time. Within 2 hours of launching his campaign, Neil’s book was funded and massively exceeded its original target of £6,500 and raised £66,291 in total.

Complementing the popular series of the same name on my YouTube channel,  I’ve carefully selected my favourite interviews to-date to be printed in a beautiful hardback book with a textured, foil-embossed cover, quality paper stock and premium finishing touches, including coloured head and tail bands in the spine of the book.

Kickstarter Campaign

Due to my efforts, I have a nice little mention at the front of the book:

With artwork by Stoo Cambridge, the same artist who created my new logo and pages and pages of gaming and technology history. The books are now being sent out to backers of the campaign who requested a hard copy as well as the digital version too.
