Although I have been writing articles online for years now, it was very satisfying to see one in print this morning as I received my copy of the Yamaha Club Magazine, which is subscription based. My article on page 15, ‘Yamaha Keyboards Online’, features a little about the fact and fiction of the internet and some useful official links for information and downloads.
This was amazing enough, however to further amazement, I noticed that in Jackie Marsden’s ‘So, you want to play professional chords!’ article, I was also mentioned there for my ‘God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen’ video, where using one of her earlier articles as a reference, I played and indeed recorded, using a digital camcorder to share on my Yamaha Personal Keyboard Owner website.
With some lovely comments, thanks to Jackie for this mention in this article, which I had absolutely no idea that I was going to feature in!
Next time when you record one of these, make sure you zoom out with your camera a bit more, so we can see the occasional silly facial expression while playing an intensive piece of music ;)
It is not that intensive that it requires me to pull some funny facial expressions, at least I hope not!
The idea was to have a clear shot of the buttons etc I was pressing as I was using mult-pads, registrations and style variations which I wasnted to make sure were captured..
wow, congrats mate on your magazine article. I hope I can achieve something similar to this (regarding Xbox360 of course)
I am sure you can Simon :)
