Twitter the New Support Tool – A Wonderful Alternative for Offering Live Company Support

Requesting any kind of support from a company can result in a process of misery, disappointment and even anger if you feel that you have been let down in your hour of need. Although there have been live chat communications available online for quite some years, there is one medium where quick fire answers are all part of the wondrous experience – I am referring to social networking giant ‘Twitter’.

Twitter has fast become a mammoth collection of individuals who love to share their unusual habits, passions for life and especially seems suited for the odd moan or two. The wisest of companies including in this example Microsoft have realised that not all support instances require lengthy emails or the painful nightmare of hanging around on hold when using the phone. @XboxSupport is designed for gamers with an Xbox 360 console who can use the wonders of Twitter to tweet any questions they may have and more often than not, a swift answer is forthcoming, which is sure to delight even the most disgruntled of enthusiast.

Tech Depot Blog – New UK Technology Website with Content by James Woodcock

Tech Depot is a company belonging to Office Depot and Viking Direct, who you might of heard of if you ever needed to purchase office supplies. Tech Depot features products including televisions, computers, servers, speakers, gaming accessories, software, laptops, netbooks, speakers, projectors, cables and much more.

A few months ago I was approached by one of the managers within the company. He enjoyed and was evidently impressed by one of my YouTube videos reviewing a satellite navigation software solution for the Apple iPhone. After a couple of meetings, it was agreed that I would set-up and run a new technology blog and I would also be required to write the articles, which include features covering hardware, gadgets, accessories and software as well as podcasts, videos and even technology guides. Thus Tech Depot Blog UK was born and has been officially launched today. You can also follow the Tech Depot UK Twitter.

Now Writer for B4HD – New Website Covering Classic Games on All Platforms

As of today I am officially a contributing writer for a new website that launched fairly recently named B4HD. Covering many classic games on various platforms, all the writers intend to inspire a little nostalgic magic and take us all on a look back at some of the greatest titles to ever appear in this entertainment media. I began with the Atari 2600 console, so I certainly have a rich history in gaming and hope to reflect this in my writing.

I have already written a couple of pieces on classic point and click adventures including Simon the Sorcerer and Full Throttle. I plan to stick with this genre for a while as it remains my favourite even today and with the reawakening of so many titles such as Broken Sword, Sam and Max, Monkey Island and many more, I am sure there will be old and new gamers interested in this area. All the articles I write for the website will appear on B4HD first and then appear a week later here on my blog.
