Xtreme Tech UK – New Technology Store and Blog with Content by James Woodcock

I have been creating articles, podcasts and videos for Tech Depot Blog UK for over a year now, however they have recently undergone a major re-branding and I have been involved with making sure the blog reflects these changes.

Their new technology store named Xtreme Tech and of course the related blog Xtreme Tech Blog UK is also now officially live.

Glyn Madden of the Yamaha Club Magazine Says Farewell to my Yamaha Keyboard Website

Glyn Madden, Editor of the Yamaha Club Magazine has been kind enough to write a few words regarding the recent closure of my own independent Yamaha keyboard and digital piano enthusiast website.

James is a difficult act to follow because his honesty and integrity will be hard to match – and it’s these qualities, combined with an expert knowledge of Internet technology, that have played such a crucial part in YPKO’s success.

Creating Your Own Cartoon or Comic Strip – Perfect for when Lacking Artistry Skills

Steve Ince, a friend of mine I follow on Twitter is a dab hand at creating comic and cartoon strips with a particular dose of enjoyable humour and as much as I would like to dabble in this area, my abilities to draw are quite limited. So imagine how pleased I was to find a website called ToonDoo that allows you to easily create your own comical toon-like strips to share with others for those like me who are lacking in artistry.

Here is my first attempt below after just ten minutes learning and then using the available tools on offer:

The Facebook Privacy Illusion – There Is No Privacy!

Time and time again we all hear about the scare stories that infest the media, where user information has either been gathered or shared without the owners consent or just by a lack of understanding a few privacy settings. This certainly hasn’t prevented social networking sites such as Facebook enjoying a very succesful 500 million users worldwide with no end currently in sight.

This article isn’t an attack on Facebook or any other online entity that gathers our personal and social information, actually it is a bit of a wake up call to those that believe that by carefully selecting our privacy settings somehow solves all our concerns. There is a distinct impression given by the media that our data can be safe if only those evil corporations and web programmers respect our privacy. Actually no matter what measures are put into place – your information, social connections and photographs are all at risk of being shared with people you would sooner not be privy to such content.
