There is certainly a wild and wonderfully strange selection of stories available when you dare plunge yourself into some of the classic point and click adventures, however Day of the Tentacle may stretch your gaming mind to its absolute limit as you try desperately to prevent an incredibly evil purple tentacle from taking over the world!

Released in 1993 by Lucas Arts, Day of the Tentacle is the sequel to the holy grail of the point and click adventure genre, Maniac Mansion. Maniac Mansion introduced the ‘Scumm’ engine (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion), which was used for numerous titles for many years to come.

Rincewind with his attractive red dress, sorry I mean wizard robes, is entrusted with the daunting task of removing a huge fire breathing dragon that has been terrorising the citizens of the colourful and completely bonkers city of Ankh-Morpork, which is based on the renowned comedic fantasy books by Terry Pratchett.

Even since our trusted floppy disks retired from active service after many years of dependence on the format, progression towards the USB memory stick has been rampant. With masses of storage, widespread adoption with various devices and of course zippy transfer speeds, the USB stick is the true successor. So how can they add to the wonders of a simple physical storage medium? By adding online storage it would appear. This actually makes a lot of sense when you consider the additional features this provides.
