Dropping a ball from the top of the screen and admiring the epic journey as it bounces from one peg to another isn’t usually an addicting formula, yet Peggle achieves just that.
It may be a fairly basic premise, however the execution is superb.
Ball Bouncing Brilliance
I have been spending countless hours listening to the sound of ‘plink’ as one peg bounces off into another. This hypnotic state is further encouraged with the colourful display, challenging levels and the ball bouncing fascination. Progression unlocks additional characters, who all offer unique abilities when a pink peg is struck. These include multi-ball, explosions and the power of intelligence that owls are renowned for.
The task on each level is to eliminate all of the orange pegs by aiming and shooting your little ball. Using the edges of the screen, obstacles and other pegs you can cunningly locate a path that will reach your targets until it finally and disappointingly disappears off the bottom of the screen into oblivion.

If you have been caressing your four leaf clover lately, there is a slim chance that the ball will fall into the moving bucket that glides from left to right continuously.
