My PSR-S500 Article – Yamaha Club Magazine

yclubmagfront.jpgIt has been a while since I wrote an article for the Yamaha Club magazine, so when Editor Glyn Madden approached me to write a piece on the new Yamaha PSR-S500 keyboard, I was more than delighted. The Yamaha Club Magazine is a subscription based bi-monthly magazine…

I’ve played the Tyros2 for about a year and have to admit that, initially, I was not wildly excited at the prospect of spending some considerable time with a ‘baby’ keyboard. I’ve never been involved in sales and don’t know a great deal about the smaller instruments in Yamaha’s range – so I was wondering how on earth a model costing around £500 would be able to inspire me after the wonders of the flagship.

Very quickly I was amazed to find that the specification of the PSR-S500 has much in common with the top model – mimicking many of the features I take for granted on Tyros2.

In this edition, The Yamaha Club Magazine also features an article by Andy Carvill covering the latest news on the new Yamaha CVP-400, CGP-1000, NP30, YPT200, PSR213, PSR313, PSR-EZ200, PSR-S500, PSR-S700 and PSR-S900.
