Sam & Max – Episode 1: Culture Shock Demo

samandmaxold.jpgAnother favourite point and click adventure of mine has to be Sam & Max Hit the Road by LucasArts. This was just completely bonkers, but also a masterpiece in the way it brought to you two characters that you truly loved from the off. Now you can enjoy a recently released sequel that will be staggered in separate episodes:

The former child stars of the Soda Poppers TV show are wreaking havoc all over the neighborhood! But this is no ordinary tale of child stars gone awry. There’s a dark force behind the Poppers’ baffling antics. Using only their wits and a slew of heavy household objects, it’s up to Sam & Max to save the day!

samandmax.jpgEven though this new adventure is in 3D, you still control the characters in traditional 2D point and click fashion… finally a game that stays to its original roots! If you have the original game, don’t forget to use the wonderful ScummVM engine, which will allow you to run it on Windows among other Operating Systems without dodgy DOS commands.

You can try the sequels demo right now for just 70mb of your hard drive space. A must download for sure especially if you love a game with a lot of humour involved.
